On October 22nd 2025, the Vietnam–Malaysia Exclusive Luncheon was successfully held at the JW Marriott Saigon, hosted by the CEO Club. The event brought together business leaders and representatives from both nations. It aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, promote trade cooperation, and explore new partnership opportunities.

The luncheon welcomed key representatives, including Ms. Dang Minh Phuong, President of the CEO Club; Ms. Zaimah Osman, Trade Commissioner from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE); and Mr. Angus Liew, President of the Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam (MBCV).

In her opening remarks, Ms. Dang Minh Phuong highlighted the importance of regional business connectivity. She emphasized long-term cooperation and sustainable partnerships between Vietnamese and Malaysian enterprises.

Mr. Angus Liew noted that Vietnam–Malaysia business cooperation is entering a new growth phase. This phase focuses on innovation, sustainability, and shared value creation. As a result, both sides pledged to enhance exchanges and support joint ventures.

Representing MATRADE, Ms. Zaimah Osman shared updates on Malaysia’s trade performance. According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), Malaysia recorded strong cumulative trade growth in 2025.
Meanwhile, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Malaysia reached USD 18.14 billion in 2024, driven by electronics, machinery, food products, and green technology.
“Vietnam is a strategic partner for Malaysia in ASEAN,” she said. “Through platforms like the CEO Club, cooperation in green industries and digital trade can grow further.”

The luncheon concluded in a warm and constructive atmosphere. Participants agreed to work toward a shared goal of reaching USD 20 billion in bilateral trade by 2030. The event reinforced confidence in deeper Vietnam–Malaysia economic cooperation.
