Speaking at the reception for the Apple leader, the Vietnamese premier highly valued the tech behemoth’s strategy for expanding its production in Vietnam. The firm has created more than 200,000 jobs for local workers.

He underlined that Vietnam is focusing on three key development strategies on legal frameworks, infrastructure, and workforce training to facilitate enterprises’ business and production operations.

To contribute to cementing the Vietnam – U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership, which was established in September last year, the prime minister called on Apple to keep up its support for Vietnam to foster green growth and strengthen renewable energy.

He also expected Apple to help the Southeast Asian nation with high-quality workforce training, and see the country as its base of global production and supply chains.

The prime minister underscored that the government would set up a working team to support Apple in the Vietnamese market.

Cook appreciated the Vietnamese prime minister’s commitments to Vietnam’s orientation and development plans.

The Apple executive desired to further bolster the firm’s cooperation and investment activities in Vietnam.
