On June 30, 2026, CEO Club, in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV), hosted an exclusive business networking luncheon. The event brought together business leaders and executives from a wide range of industries, creating an elegant yet welcoming environment for meaningful dialogue and strategic relationship building.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Johan Nyvene, Vice Chairman of CEO Club, reflected on the Club’s more than two decades of development and emphasized that its enduring identity has been built upon the core philosophy of “Sharing Knowledge – Creating Value.” He noted that CEO Club is not only a platform where business executives exchange ideas and experiences, but also a trusted community that empowers members to strengthen leadership capabilities and confidently integrate into the global economy.

Providing an overview of the current macroeconomic landscape, Mr. Nyvene highlighted the growing strength of Vietnam–France bilateral trade relations. As Vietnam continues to achieve record-breaking import-export performance, France remains one of the country’s leading European trading and investment partners. Bilateral trade has reached approximately US$6.3 billion, with Vietnam recording a trade surplus of more than US$1.7 billion.
France’s cumulative foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam has reached approximately US$3.6 billion, maintaining its position as one of Vietnam’s largest European investors. Beyond traditional sectors, French enterprises are increasingly leading investments in high technology, renewable energy, healthcare, and sustainable development. Meanwhile, the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) continues to strengthen bilateral trade by expanding market access for Vietnamese agricultural products, textiles, and electronic components in France, while facilitating the import of French high-tech machinery, pharmaceuticals, and premium food products into Vietnam.

The luncheon was further enriched by the presence of Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit of Vietnam’s business community, particularly CEO Club members. He reaffirmed the Consulate General’s commitment to serving as a reliable bridge, providing diplomatic and policy support to help businesses from both countries identify shared opportunities and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
Echoing this vision, Mr. Adam Koulaksezian, Executive Director of CCIFV, reaffirmed the Chamber’s strong commitment to supporting Vietnamese enterprises. With a network of more than 300 member companies, including leading French multinational corporations and major businesses operating in Vietnam, CCIFV views this luncheon as the starting point for a series of deeper business engagement initiatives, particularly B2B matching activities, enabling companies from both countries to leverage complementary strengths, optimize resources, and jointly create new value across global supply chains.

The luncheon concluded in a warm and engaging atmosphere. Although the gathering lasted only a few hours, the meaningful conversations, strengthened relationships, and promising collaboration opportunities demonstrated the event’s success in fostering stronger economic ties between the Vietnamese and French business communities.
